Swete (spr. ßwīt), Henry Barclay , anglikan. Theolog, geb. 14. März 1835 in Redlands (Bristol), war 1869–77 Dean des Caius College in Cambridge, 1877–90 Rektor in Ashdon (Essex), 1882–1890 Professor der Pastoraltheologie am King's College in London und ist seit 1890 Professor der Theologie in Cambridge.
